Dillards Decade Waltz | | The Dillards, originally from Salem, Missouri, moved to Los Angeles in the early 1960s and soon became famous for their musical appearances on The Andy Griffith Show. They also released a series of fine bluegrass albums and were among the first, along with The Byrds, to incorporate new sounds - electric guitar and drums - into traditional genres. This 1979 album features founding members Rodney Dillard and Dean Webb with Herb Perdersen, Jeff Gilkinson, Douglas Bounsall and Paul York on an excellent collection of harmony-filled acoustic-based country rock.
