Cheryl's records may defy easy categorization, but no one has any
hesitation about labeling her songwriting as brilliant. She
lives in New England, she's worked the folk circuit, she's had
some hits in Nashville, and her tunes have been recorded by Maura
O'Connell, Linda Thompson, and others. "Driving Home" was
produced by Jonathan Edwards, who likewise straddles the folk and
country worlds, and who has been a champion of Cheryl's work for
years. Guest backing vocals from Alison Krauss, Mary Chapin
Carpenter, and others. Includes "Orbiting Jupiter," which Cheryl
co-wrote with Janis Ian.
